Journey rocks the 2013 D.I.C.E. awards; takes home Game of the Year

By award count, Journey was the clear winner at the 16th annual D.I.C.E. awards last night.

Thatgamecompany’s critically-acclaimed title was bestowed by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences with a remarkable eight awards, including Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, and Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, and the coveted Game of the Year.

Journey rocks the 2013 D.I.C.E. awards; takes home Game of the Year

By comparison, the runners-up, The Walking Dead and XCOM: Enemy Unknown, came away with four and two awards, respectively. So, to put in another way, Journey scored more awards than both runners-up combined.

Way to go, Journey.
