Sony DualShock 4 image leak very likely genuine

NEWS | ? Comments |

Yesterday, Destructoid posted what appeared to be a leaked image of a PlayStation 4 controller, complete with (according to Eurogamer, at least) a touchscreen, MOVE tracker, microphone, integrated loudspeaker, and redesigned analogue sticks. The controller was plugged into what appeared to be a server of some kind; likely the PS4/Orbis development kit.

Dualshock 4 leak very likely genuine

As near as anyone can tell, the leak is indeed genuine. What we're looking at is the Orbis controller; either an early prototype or the final design (no one's entirely clear on which).

With Sony's big reveal just five days away, no doubt its rather unhappy about this. Eurogamer notes that whatever studio is responsible for the leak clearly has quite a bit of dev hardware at their disposal (directly on top of the Orbis dev-kit is a Wii U kit), and also that Sony's probably doing its damndest to track that studio down.
