Telltale Games aiming at Fall 2013 release for The Walking Dead: The Game Season 2
I'm of the mind that The Walking Dead: The Game features one of the most compelling narratives in modern gaming, perhaps even in gaming as a whole. You understand, then, why I'm a little excited at today's announcement. Season 2 is coming, though we've still a bit of a wait ahead of us.
Speaking to Eurogamer after the BAFTA awards ceremony, Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors said that the developer is hoping to launch the new season next fall. He also mused that he'd expect the content to arrive on the PlayStation 4 as well, but established that it's not yet a sure thing: "we don't have enough information from Sony to announce it or anything."
There's also the possibility of some additional "bridging" content to be released between now and Season 2, according to writer Gary Whitta in a conversation with IGN. However, Connors was a touch coy on just what that content involved and what it might be, teasing that they tossed him "into the zombie pit."
Further details on Season two aren't currently available. You'll know more as soon as we do.
