Final Fantasy X HD will come with FF X-2 on PlayStation 3
Final Fantasy X will not be alone when it releases in HD form (eventually). Gematsu reports that the PlayStation 3 version of FF X HD will include both the 2001 classic and its sequel, Final Fantasy X-2, on the same disc.
When the news was first reported, Gematsu cited a source who claimed the announcement would be made in the then-upcoming issue of Japanese magazine Shonen Jump. The issue, which has since been released, confirmed the claim, as the scans below show.
While FF X 1 and 2 may be sharing a disc on PS3, that won’t be the case on the PlayStation Vita. Both games will still be available on the handheld, just separately.
There is still no release date set for Final Fantasy X HD, but it is still very likely that it will be released this year. Square Enix had better hurry. It’s been a year and a half since they announced it, and the fans won’t wait forever.
