The Witcher 3 will feature 3 playable epilogues made up of 36 different endings
I'm just gonna take the time here to say that I love CD Projekt RED and everything about them.
In an interview with Polygon today, managing director Adan Badowski revealed that The Witcher 3 will feature thirty-six different endings, and three playable epilogues. It's not terribly surprising, truth be told. After all, we've known from the beginning that the end to Geralt's journey will be entirely defined by player choice.
"The game is quite complex," Badowski said. "We didn't mean to develop something special for the endings, it's a natural consequence of the storyline. The story has hundreds of different branches and sub plots. We have to just sum all of those elements up in the epilogues. Some of those elements are taken from the very beginning, and some from other moments of the story. All of them will connect in the epilogue."
"We have a lot of things to summarize. We didn't spend time on inventing endings. It was just the consequence of those choices."
