Star Wars: The Old Republic Rise of the Hutt Cartel DLC is now live

BioWare today announced that the first digital expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, titled Rise of the Hutt Cartel, is now live. The expansion is available for $19.99, with subscribers able to pick up a copy for $9.99.

Pitting players against the eponymous, galaxy-wide criminal organization, which is attempting a hostile takeover of the planet Makeb, the expansion increases the level cap to 55 and adds a whole host of new missions, dungeons, and equipment, as well as a new world. This expansion comes right on the heels of a huge content update, "Scum and Villainy."

Rise of The Hutt Cartel now live in The Old Republic

"We've worked hard over the last year to ensure we were listening to player feedback and acting on it. This month, we're not only adding hours of new story-driven content and features, but we're also adding depth and content to the end game with our latest Game Update 2.0: Sum and Villainy," said Jeff Hickman, SWTOR Executive Producer.

"All of this new content, combined with a much larger, more active and engaged community since the addition of the Free-to-Play option last year make this the best time to join or return to The Old Republic," he added.
