Assassin's Creed movie set to release in May 2015
Quick, if someone has started making calendars for the year 2015, buy one and mark the Twenty-Second of May, for that is when “Assassin’s Creed: The Movie” is set to release. Meaning we are now only two years and two days away from watching Old World folk getting stabbed in the throat with hidden blades on the big screen.
Box Office Mojo reports that the Ubisoft / New Regency collaboration, which stars Michael Fassbender as one of the iconic hooded assassins (so, probably not Connor), is slated to be released on May 22, 2015.
That puts the film in near-direct confrontation with two of 2015’s biggest films: The Avengers 2, which releases on May 1, and Star Wars: Episode VII, which will probably debut that month (May has always been the month for Star Wars film premieres, after all). And let’s not forget that it’s not the only video game movie coming out in two years.
