Publisher Deep Silver and developer 4A Games announced today that Metro: Last Light's first DLC, the Faction Pack, will be available come July 16. It will be launching simultaneously over all platforms, and will retail at $4.99 (400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360). PSN users outside North America will have to wait until July 17.

The Faction Pack is the first of four planned pieces of DLC, and introduces three new single-player missions, each of which puts the players in the shoes of a character from one of the game's factions: a special detachment sniper from The Red Line, a heavy of The Fourth Reich, and a polis Ranger in training. It brings back a number of locations from Metro 2033, as well as "the return of a fan-favorite mutant foe."
