Nintendo releases another Miiverse update; adds tags and raises message character limits

Nintendo announced another Miiverse update today, which gives users of the its social network the ability to tag their posts and further raises the character limit for user-to-user messages, doubling it from 100 to 200 characters. Currently, this last change only applies to the network on the Wii U.

Nintendo releases another Miiverse update; adds tags and raises message character limits

The tagging option allows users to label their posts, although they don't appear to have complete freedom in what those tags can say. Instead, they can label posts with tags like "Impressions", "Question", "Accomplishment", "Retro", or "Players Wanted". Certain tags, naturally, are restricted to certain games. You're not going to be able to tag a post with "Players Wanted" if the game you're talking about is a single-player affair, for example.

There was also a minor change made to the Miiverse code of conduct; Nintendo added a section warning users against letting other people use their Nintendo Network ID.
