New DLC announced for Outlast; more details October 31

Independent survival horror game Outlast will be receiving an expansion in the near future, announced developer Red Barrels earlier today.

New DLC announced for Outlast; more details October 31

For those of you who've not yet played, Outlast puts you into the shoes of independent journalist Miles Upshur, as he explores the decrepit halls of Mount Massive Asylum. Things very quickly go pear-shaped for Miles, and before long he's running for his life from a host of deranged, murderous inmates and mutants. The title makes use of light parkour and stealth elements to help the player survive.

The new DLC will feature a new protagonist and storyline, according to the studio. No word yet on what the connection will be between the original narrative and the new one - if there's any at all. Red Barrels has promised to release more information on October 31.
