After word broke out about Ana Kessel, the Insomniac Games intern artist who was the victim of a hit-and-run, a lot of people stepped forward to help cover her considerable medical bills.

Among them is Gears of War developer Epic Games, which has put three signed replicas of the series’ iconic lancer weapon up for auction on eBay, with 100% of the proceeds going to help Kessel. So far, each gun has attracted over twenty bids, and all three are currently going for a combined price of $1,405.

Last week, Kessel was hit by an unlicensed driver who fled the scene, resulting in her being taken to the hospital and having her leg amputated. In the process of recovering, she is running a campaign on to raise the $150,000 to cover her medical expenses, which include acquiring a prosthetic leg. Over $44,000 have been raised as of this writing.

The eBay auctions for the GoW lancer replicas (which you can find through the links below) will be going on until this Friday, November 22, at which point Epic should have a nice, big donation ready for Kessel’s benefit. Props to them.
