Fallout 4's first add-on pack, Automatron, get a trailer and a release date
Bethesda have just dropped a trailer for the first add-on for Fallout 4, Automatron (I suspect it's supposed to sound like Autom-a-tron, but I can't help but read it like Auto-matron - you may not be familiar with the Carry-On films, so have a Google). Announced back in February, it should cost $10/£8 and will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 22nd.
You'll be setting out into the Commonwealth once again to take on the nefarious misdeeds of The Machinst, an enigmatic chap who has just unleashed a horde of angry robots upon the irradiated wastes. Smash them all to pieces and you'll be able to assemble your very own robotic companion, making use of hundreds of limbs, armour and abilities. The higher level players amongst you (everyone?) will also be able to customise the paint jobs and vocal talents of your cybernetic compadre.
It all looks and sounds suitably Fallout, I'm sure it'll fit right in to your on-going interactions with the radioactive residents of it's environs. It will surely keep you playing until the next add-ons are due in April (Wasteland Workshop) and May (Far Harbor).
Have you been itching to create your very own mechanised mate since you first emerged from your Vault-Tec shelter? Well, you've only a week left to wait now, so you can start thinking about the kind of robot you want to represent you in the Commonwealth. Will these add-ons draw you back to Fallout 4? Perhaps you never left and these extensions will only add to your addiction. Let us know in the comments below.
