Playdead

Description:

PLAYDEAD is a small game studio located in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark.

The first IP under development “LIMBO” is an original idea by Arnt Jensen.  The production was started in the company called Underholdningsbranchen ApS with Dino Patti in the end of 2006. Later when the first funding from CAT Science was acquired, all assets were transferred including the IP to the newly founded company called Limbo ApS. This was also because the publishers and foreign people had problems pronouncing “Underholdningsbranchen” (which means “Entertainment business” in Danish).

The company name was planned to be temporary, and in the beginning of 2009 the name was officially changed to:  PLAYDEAD.
